There’s only one thing I enjoy more with my morning coffee than a glazed jelly donut. (I reserve powdered sugar for the weekend because sugar on my suit absolutely destroys my confidence in meetings.) The wonderful accompaniment I speak of is: a good blog.
There is just something about new data, strong arguments, hacks and how-tos, and fresh perspectives that get me hungry and motivated to present cutting-edge solutions to my clients. If you’re a marketing professional who feels the same and loves putting in a period of professional development first thing in the morning, below are some of my favorite marketing automation blogs:
Marketing Automation Times. Packed with useful ideas, tips, and tricks. I regularly lose track of time by having a clickfest on this blog.
Chief Marketing Technologist, or chiefmartec.com. This is a great blog centered around the theme of technology in marketing and new tools that are changing how the world does marketing.
Funnelholic. This guy is truly funny — and truly knows how to make money.
Demand Gen Report. This is not a personal blog. It’s an actual industry magazine. Follow this one blog and you will always know what is going on in the world of marketing automation.
Leadsloth. The term sloth makes reference to this blogger’s love of efficiency, appropriate since so many marketers are currently struggling with this concept. LeadSloth provides information to help marketing teams streamline their processes and increase sales and conversions.
So, there you have some darn good reads. What are your favorite marketing blogs and donut flavors?
